Why I started this Business
This business started because of a frustrating experience I believe many riders can relate to.
In the early phase of year 2021, I had planned to get a Yamaha XMAX 300, but it was out of stock.I didn’t want to rely on public transport with no clear restock XMAX300 timeline — so I bought a Yamaha NMAX 155 instead, for around S$14,000.
About a week later, the same salesman who sold me the NMAX called. The XMAX had arrived — and he asked if I wanted to trade in my bike. At that point of time, did not have a good reason to turn down the offer while they quoted $10,000. I was curious how they arrived at the S$10,000 trade-in offer, waiting for him to share and open to treating it as a learning moment. After his reasoning, I understood that their pricing is a trade secret, and I respected that.
I asked, “How about we discuss what we can — like increasing the offer?” But instead of maintaining the S$10,000 or increasing it, they lowered the offer to S$9,500. Then the boss stepped in — and told me:“You can go cry one corner. So pro, then come and sell.”
It wasn’t just about the money. It was the lack of respect and transparency that stayed with me.
And I thought — If I went through this, others probably have too.So I decided to do something about it.
I decided to be the rainmaker — and make it rain. That’s why I started this business.
